Birthday parties are great places for children to express their creativity. Groups and gathering encourage children to try out new things and get inspired by each other. A birthday party should never lack activities and active participants. One way to ensure activity within the guests is to encourage them to participate in various games and activities specially arranged for them.

Sometimes, arranging birthday parties for children might be a more difficult task than arranging birthday parties for adults. It needs not be, however. You can introduce face painting at the birthday of your child and let the children experiment with colours and paints. Getting the children to paint the faces of each other is a fun way to involve everyone. This allows for maximum participation in a group activity and provides entertainment as well.

You can give the kids some designs to make it easy for them to paint. Supply them with only basic designs such as various shapes and objects or flowers. This way, they will have basic shapes to experiment with and can still make designs of their own. Provide a clean sheet for the kids to sit on and paint. You can give them overalls if the children are too young. Another option is to have other parents volunteer to paint the faces of the children. This way, you can monitor the children as well as enjoy the party. You can spend quality time with the children and get other parents to spend their precious time with their children in the same way as well.

You should also assign a specific time to the face painting party if you want to make it into a competition. Timed competitions are more fun-filled and can also help in making sure the birthday party begins and ends on time. Since children are not allowed for late hours outside the house, it is best that you keep the planned activities limited.

You can ask them to paint individually and then you can pay them according to the number of children who got their face painted.

However, the best way is to let the kids paint faces of each other. Children are more comfortable around people they know and would thus prefer to paint each other more than having their faces painted by strangers. Children might even get into scuffles, but this is part of the party fun. Just make sure no child goes home in tears.
